Short historical background:

The Aero-Ever Kft bought the documentation of the DFS Meise and built five of this performance glider. The MÁV Istvántelki Főműhely started to build four in 1944 however their construction was interrupted by the fights when the eastern front approched Budapest. Two of them were finished after the war by MÁV Istvántelki Főműhely and one by a workshop of MÁV at Miskolc. Of this batch one glider remained unfinished.

After the war, in 1953-54, a modified version of DFS Meise designated as "Cinke" was built in series by the Sportárutermelő Vállalat. 20 gliders of this version were built. This version was fitted with a wheel.

The type excelled particularly in duration flights. In 1941 István Király broke the Hungarian Duration record with a 29 hours 45 minutes flight over Hármashatárhegy. This record was broken again by Róbert Méray-Horváth who flew a Meise over Hármashatárhegy for 33 hours 10 minutes. The type excelled in another category of records as well when Méray-Horváth climbed in wave in a Meise up to 6030 ASL gaining 5778 m height over the Mátra Mountain in 1944. Both were new Hungarian records. After the war Péter Zsigmond had a duration flight of 31 hours over Hármashatárhegy in a DFS Meise.
